About me

I’m Ryan Almusawi — entrepreneur, IRS Enrolled Agent, and founder of Clarion Tax & Advisory.

I’m a first-generation college graduate, raised by a Mexican single mother and the son of an Iraqi refugee who built businesses from nothing. I grew up watching entrepreneurship up close — and learning responsibility early.

At 11, I founded a nonprofit focused on youth-led community service and disaster relief. That experience shaped how I think: if something doesn’t exist, build it.

My path hasn’t been linear. I failed a grade in high school. I walked away from a full-ride scholarship. I rebuilt. I earned my degree in Marketing, completed a Master of Professional Accountancy with a 4.0 GPA, and am now pursuing a Master’s in Finance while preparing for the CPA exams.

In 2023, I started Clarion Tax & Advisory to help individuals, businesses, and nonprofits create financial clarity and long-term stability.
